Removing the MICR Bracket Assembly
Note:
On certain LCSIO (RS-485) models an extender cable (available in a kit) is used to
connect the MICR solenoid cable to the common PC board.
1.
Disconnect the MICR solenoid cable from the PC board.
2.
Remove the screw on the front of the cantilever that holds the MICR bracket assembly
on the cantilever.
3.
Lift the MICR bracket assembly off the cantilever.
Note:
The foam pad on the base of the carriage assembly is part of the MICR assembly. It
is backed with self-adhesive tape and can be replaced by peeling it off and placing on a
new one. See “Disassembling the Carriage Assembly” in chapter 12 for more information.
Removing the Buck Coil Assembly
Note:
On some older models, the buck coil assembly consists of two parts: the buck coil
and the buck coil mount. These have to be removed separately. On newer models, the buck
coil assembly is a single part.
Note:
On certain LCSIO (RS-485) models an extender cable (available in a kit) is used to
connect the buck coil assembly cable to the common PC board.
1.
Remove the buck coil harnesses from the buck coil assembly.
2.
Remove the buck coil assembly by unscrewing the screw holding it and the ground
strap to the cantilever with a small Phillips screwdriver.
3.
Rotate the buck coil assembly slightly while pulling it out from the cantilever.
