Chapter 8: Replacing the Thermal Receipt Mechanism

Note:

Some 7156 models may appear slightly different than what is shown in the

illustration. The procedures are the same for all models unless otherwise noted.

With the front cover partially closed (not latched), position the top cover over the
printer and PC board.

Insert the right rear corner into the base by tilting slightly rearward.

Swing the cover forward and down toward the front, making sure the rear receipt
mechanism tabs latch under the thermal receipt mechanism.

Swing open the front cover fully and reconnect the ESD ground wire (from the tear off
blade) to the ESD tab on the cantilever. Loop the ground wire so it doesn’t bind.

Push down the top cover until it snaps into place, making sure the left snap is latched.

Close the front cover.
