Chapter 9: Removing the Print Mechanism
This is the first of six related chapters which deal with the print mechanism. In this chapter
you will remove the print mechanism from the printer.
In chapters 10 through 13 you will remove assemblies or parts from the print mechanism
and then disassemble, reassemble, and replace the assembly or part on the print
mechanism.
In chapter 14 you will replace the print mechanism in the printer.
Note:
Some 7156 models may appear slightly different than what is shown in the
illustrations. The procedures are the same for all models unless otherwise noted.
Tools
You will need the following tools and lubricants:

Torx® drivers: T10 and T15
•
#1 and #2 Pozidriv® Screwdrivers
•
Flathead screwdriver
