When the layout for vertical picket railings includes a turn platform, the ramp section before that
platform secures the railings for the tongue-side of the platform.
19.7.6.1.
During the installation of the ramp section leading into the platform, install two
(2) 3/8” - 16 x 5” bolts into the 2.5" universal bracket used at the bottom of the
interior side of the ramp section.
19.7.6.2.
Install the first inside corner vertical
picket handrail onto the platform
side with the groove.
19.7.6.3.
Use a universal bracket assembly
for the side closest to the off-going
ramp.
19.7.6.4.
Use a switchback bracket on the
corner of the platform.

TIPS AND TRICKS

loosely assemble the
vertical picket handrail
to the switchback
bracket before sliding
the entire assembly into
the channel.
