12. Connect the other end of the main AC power cable to a facility power source.
13. Verify that the main circuit breaker is in the on position on the power entry panel.
14. Flip the Main Power switch to the right to turn on the ECUTS.
Complete the following troubleshooting steps if the ECUTS does not power on:
•
Ensure the system facility power is correct for the ECUTS. Refer to the
ECUTS-16000 Test System Safety, Environmental, and Regulatory
Information
or
ECUTS-16001 Test System Safety, Environmental, and Regulatory Information
document for power requirements.
•
Ensure the EPO button is not engaged.
Configuring the ECUTS
1.
Complete the Windows out-of-box experience according to facility practices.
2.
Sign in to the ECUTS using the login information created in step 1.
3.
If necessary, configure the network and user settings according to standard facility practices. Adhere to the following ECUTS network
restrictions.
Note
By default, the ECUTS uses DHCP and does not require network configuration.
a)
Ensure the port 0 network does not use subnet 169.254.160.X. These IP addresses are reserved for ECUTS internal functions.
b)
Do not change the settings for the ECUTS port 1 network adapter.
Completing Bring Up
To complete bring up, refer to
on page 49 to ensure that all components that shipped with the ECUTS are correctly routed
to their assigned pins in the mass interconnect. Once you have verified continuity, dispose of the shipping crate per your company policies or
store the shipping crate if you intend to reuse the crate to transport the ECUTS.
Basic Procedures
Powering On
Notice
To avoid damage to the system, verify that an ITA or field diagnostic tester (FDT) is not connected to the ECUTS before
powering on the system.
1.
Verify that the main circuit breaker is in the On position on the PEP.
2.
Confirm that the primary EPO button is not engaged.
3.
Confirm that the programmed temperature shutoff value on the EPO panel thermostat is below the programmed temperature shutoff value.
4.
Flip the main power switch to the right to turn on the ECUTS.
Powering Off
Caution
To completely interrupt power to a single-phase system, you must disconnect the AC power cable. Do not position
equipment so that it is difficult to disconnect the cable.
Attention
Pour interrompre complètement l'alimentation d'un système monophasé, vous devez déconnecter le câble d'alimentation
CA. Veillez à positionner l'équipement de sorte qu'il soit facile d'en déconnecter le câble d'alimentation.
1.
Close any open applications.
2.
Shut down Windows.
3.
Flip the main power switch to the left.
4.
Switch the main breaker on the PEP to the off position or disconnect MAINs power from the PEP.
Verifying Continuity
1.
Double-click the Test System Maintenance Software shortcut on the desktop to launch the ECU Test System Maintenance Software.
2.
Select
Check Continuity
under the Operations section.
3.
Click the
Run Selected Operations
button.
4.
Verify there is not an ITA or FDT connected to the ECUTS then click the
Continue
button.
5.
When prompted, complete the following steps to connect the FDT to the mass interconnect:
a)
Pull the handle on the mass interconnect down to the open position.
b)
Connect the FDT to the mass interconnect.
c)
Push the handle on the mass interconnect up to the locked position.
6.
Click the
Continue
button to start the continuity test.
7.
Wait for the UI to indicate that continuity testing is complete.
