We are explaining below in a more detailed way the specific function of each:
Die: We can define which die will be used during the folding process out out of the 50 ones existing and
previously defined in the folder.
Punch: With this parameter you can define the punch to be used for folding, among the 50 ones defined in
the press brake.
Bending angle : Here we indicate the bending angle we want to obtain. In this simple way we let the
MP1400 CNC be the one to calculate the necessary depth for indicated angle considering the punch and
die that have been previously chosen.
Correction of Folding Angle: This correction will allow us to correct minor errors in the actual bending an-
gle .
Gauge distance: The parameters for defining the distance from the gauge, i.e. the actual length of the fold.
Gauge return: The use of this parameter allows us to define the return of the gauge which will occur at the
time the machine is about to make the fold, but when the ram’s holding the metal sheet, thus preventing it
from moving, and colliding with the rear gauge.
Upper Limit : Set the distance of the ram rise after making the folding, allowing the user to optimize the
folding time at its best.
Lateral length : When we indicate this parameter it will allow us to perform the calculation of the tonnage
required for folding and determine whether or not this is possible.
Tons: This parameter can not be modified. It only indicates the tons needed for folding taking as the basis
all the above mentioned parameters.
Once we are at this point and knowing and all elements and parameters that are part of the memories and
folding operations, we can move on to actually explain the steps for using the Edit Memory Mode.
8.4 . Selection of Memory
To access the Edit Memory Menu it’s only necessary to select Option Semi Automatic Mode from the Main
Menu, and then Edit Memory.
