5.13 CONTROL PANEL ASSEMBLY
Connect control panel by the molex connections provided. Bolts are provided to install it on top of furnace.
5.14 ROOM THERMOSTAT ASSEMBLY
Room thermostat connection is available on the junction box.
Some room thermostats are open contact, some are closed contact. Default setting on your furnace is open
contact. However, if you need to change your default setting, please turn off the furnace by pressing on-off
button (hold it down for about 5 seconds). Press and hold idle button for 3 seconds. Open contact screen will
come on. Then wait until close contact screen appears and release the button. Then press on-off button to
register your default connection.
5.15 LOCATION OF PRODUCT ID LABEL
Main id label is riveted on the back side of hopper. “Small one with serial
number only” is riveted on back side of fl ue box. Since hopper is a sepa-
rable piece, please make sure serial numbers on both labels match.
5.16 FLUE CONNECTION
Install vent at clearances specifi ed by the vent manufacturer.
Flue gas exhaust pipe is 6” diameter and made of steel. There are two fl ue gas
outlets provided on the fl ue box. One is at the top, the other is in the back. De-
pending on your installation, choose the one to utilize and connect. Make certain
the alternate outlet is sealed. Factory setting is at the top.
NOTE: We recommend that fl ue gas pipe is double wall pipe to minimize
condensation on the pipe. Insulation must be rated to operate at 900°F.

DO NOT CONNECT THE VENT TO A VENT OR CHIMNEY SERVING ANY OTHER APPLIANCE OR
HEATER.
DO NOT INSTALL A FLUE DAMPER IN THE EXHAUST VENTING SYSTEM OF THIS UNIT.
NEVER INSTALL A SINGLE WALL SLIP SECTION OR SMOKE PIPE IN A CHASE STRUCTURE. THE
HIGHER TEMPERATURE OF THIS SINGLE WALL PIPE MAY RADIATE SUFFICIENT HEAT TO COM-
BUSTIBLE CHASE MATERIALS TO CAUSE A FIRE.
TO AVOID DANGER OF FIRE, ALL INSTRUCTIONS MUST BE STRICTLY FOLLOWED, INCLUDING THE
PROVISION OF AIR SPACE CLEARANCE BETWEEN CHIMNEY SYSTEM AND ENCLOSURE. TO PRO-
TECT AGAINST THE EFFECTS OF CORROSION ON THOSE PARTS EXPOSED TO THE WEATHER, WE
RECOMMEND THAT THE CHASE TOP BE PAINTED WITH A
RUST-RESISTANT PAINT.
