4.0 CLEARANCE TO COMBUSTIBLES
Minimum clearance to combustibles walls or panels from the
furnace assembly must be;
A = 12” (30 cm)
B = 12” (30 cm)
C = 12” (30 cm)
D = 48” (76 cm)
However, for easy access around the furnace and hopper, we
recommend B, C to be 24” wide to walk around and service.
Clearance from top of plenum/ horizontal duct to ceiling is
minimum 6” (15 cm) for the fi rst 4 feet of ducting away from the
furnace. Ducting runs greater than 4 feet from the unit can have
clearance to ceilings reduced to 1 inch.
Flue exhaust pipe should continue as 6” up to the point it
connects to chimney. Chimney diameter to be 6” or larger, if
possible.
Floor must be non-combustible (concrete, tile, etc.).
