Fabric retainers
Purpose
Fabric retainers has been developed to avoid that the edges of the fabrics curl up and cause
headstrikes and a bad printing output. They fit in the gutter and leave space at the bottom for
the ink to flow away to the waste bottle.
Always use the fabric retainers when the fabric has rough finished borders (fabric
without self edges).
Make sure you place the fabric retainers before you perform the fabric detection,
otherwise the printer will print onto the fabric retainers.
When choosing edge printing, the fabric retainers can't be used.
Verify if the fabric retainers are firmly fixed inside the gutter to prevent contact with the
print head.
Make sure the fabric's border is positioned under the top plate of the fabric retainer.
Make sure the fabric does not sag or catch the fabric retainer.
Place the fabric retainers BEFORE fabric initialization.
Installation procedure
