7.7 Fuel System

7.7.1 Fuel system – Venting

Preconditions

☑

Engine is stopped and starting disabled.

Special tools, Material, Spare parts

WARNING

Fuels are combustible and explosive.

Risk of fire and explosion!

• Avoid open flames, electrical sparks and ignition sources.
• Do not smoke.
• Wear protective clothing, protective gloves, and safety glasses / facial protection.

Venting LP fuel system

1.

Open threaded vent plug (1) and connect a
suitable hose.

2.

Provide a suitable container to collect the
fuel.

3.

Unlock fuel priming pump, screw out han-
dle (2) by turning it counterclockwise.

4.

Operate the pump with the handle (2) until
bubble-free fuel emerges from the vent
plug (1).

5.

Close vent plug (1).

6.

Turn handle (2) clockwise to screw it in.

7.

Verify that fuel hand pump is properly
locked: Handle (2) must be tightened firm-
ly.
