Activated charcoal (Part no. 60827 / 1 package = 100 g inclusive. 2 filter
tabs.)
The use of activated charcoal is usually for cleaning of water and air of or-
ganic pollutants. New activated charcoal is made of hard coal, brown coal,
peat or coconut bowls. After the loading ability is exhausted, the activated
charcoal is exchanged.
Silica gel (Part no. 60826 / 1 package = 100 g inclusive 2 filter tabs)
Silica gel extracts the moisture from the sucked gas. After the loading capac-
ity is exhausted, the granules are replaced.
Purafil (Part no. 60825 / 1 package = 100 g inclusive 2 filter tabs)
Purafil extracts portion from the sucked in gas the NO. In the course of the time the
granulate changes the color to dark brown until black. A light brown to middle
brown color of the granulate will not reduce the efficiency of the filter. A worn filter
can still be used, but the SOx and NOx gases can reach the CO sensor, that can re-
duce the life span of the CO sensor enormous.
Operation of the solid filter unit:
The solid filter unit must be operated in a standing (hanging) position.
There is a bending fold on the back of the unit to be able to hang the unit at
the measuring point.
The condensate separator must be discharged after each measurement and
opened for drying
Liquid discharged from the condensate separator may be slightly acidic
.
In case of skin contact, clean affected areas immediately.
Do not bring any liquid into the eyes.
Carefully clean all parts that come into contact with the condensate.
Maintenance
The star filter (no. 11165) has to be replaced when grey/brown discoloration.
With the change is to be paid attention to close seat of the hose.
This filter is washable and approx. 4 - 5 times thereafter applicable.
Since neither with the activated charcoal, nor with the silicagel the loading ability can
be optically determined, the granulate at least 1 x are to be renewed annually. Take the
filters for the renewal of the granulate out of the clips, which remove hoses and take a
plug off. Remove the old granulates inclusive two filter tabs, clean the filter glass and
the plugs, use a new filter tab, fill in new granulates, use second filter tab, plugs imprint,
in Clammy ones begin and after the following design.
For this work protective clothing carry, granulates can be weakly acid! The
old granulates is special refuse!
