NETPLEX &
CAPS Interface
Introduction
The 2x6434 NETPLEX interface and integrated NETPLEX Y-Harness connect the IBA5 System to a
computer running the Money Controls NETPLEX Host Simulator software. When connected in this
manner, the PC can control and/or monitor note acceptance. Section 4, System Diagnostics explains how to
install and operate the bench test software and how to connect the IBA5 to the PC.
The 2x5665 CAPS Interface Boards enables computer access to the Computer Analysis Program System
(CAPS) portion of the IBA5 operating software. This allows the user to monitor calibration voltages, etc.
The CAPS Interface translates acceptor signals into signal levels compatible with an RS-232 serial port.
This section details the internal workings of the CAPS Interface Board.
Description
The 2x6434 NETPLEX interface board connects the IBA5 and the computer as illustrated below:
