NOTE:
The 4-pin Signal and 5-pin I/O connectors are used for communication with the host equipment
during normal operation. The CAPS interface harness must be disconnected from these two IBA5
connectors when the IBA5 is installed in a host machine.
Host Software Installation
Money Controls will provide a copy of the Money Controls NETPLEX Host Simulator software, P.N. 59x104.5, on
3.5” floppy diskette, CD-ROM or through E-Mail to individuals or organizations authorized by IGT. Before
installation or operation of the Host Simulator, set aside a master copy of the package.
- If you receive the software on floppy diskette, copy the diskette and store the original (master) in a
safe place.
- If you receive the package by way of E-Mail, copy the files to a floppy diskette and store this
master in a safe place.
Fixed Disk Or Floppy Diskette
For maximum convenience and speed, run HOST.EXE from a fixed disk. Although it is not recommended,
it is possible to run HOST.EXE from a floppy diskette.
- If you intend to run the host simulator from a floppy diskette:
1. Never run HOST.exe from the master diskette. Use only a copy of the master diskette.
2. If the copy is damaged or fails, make another copy of the original (master) program
diskette and use this copy to run the Host Simulator program.
- If you intend to run the host simulator from a fixed disk, install the host simulator software in a
directory of its own.
1. Create a directory for the program files on the fixed disk (NETPLEX is suggested).
2. Copy all the files from the distribution diskette to this new directory. Refer to Host Setup
files below and make sure these files are in the new directory.
3. If you wish to run HOST.EXE from any other directory on your system, edit the PATH
statement in your AUTOEXEC.BAT file to include the Host Simulator directory. The
Host software will automatically locate and use the necessary support files in the
directory NETPLEX.
