CAUTION!
Disconnect Main Power supply before performing any
maintenance activities!
Please read before operating this saw!
Since the component saws uses an air brake system to stop blade rotation, it is
very important that the air system be inspected daily to insure it is functioning
properly. The components of the air brake system include: an inlet filter, dryer,
regulator/filter, reservoir, two pressure switches, and a valve. All of these
components need to be checked for leaks and malfunctions. If the braking
system malfunctions in any way, shut the machine down immediately and resolve
the problem.
AIR SYSTEM MAINTENANCE:
Inspect all brake pads weekly for wear. It is important that the pads not
wear into the blade.
Air line filter must be inspected weekly for contaminants. One filter is
located where the inlet air is hooked up, the other in the box connected to
the regulator. Change when necessary.
Maintain 30 psi throughout the entire air system. (Maximum pressure
should not exceed 35 psi.)
Check for leaks in the air system daily. Without proper air pressure, the
brakes are not as effective.
During the first few months of ownership, it is recommended that the air brakes
be inspected extensively since shipping of the unit may have caused hoses and
components to leak. IN ORDER TO HAVE AN EFFECTIVE BRAKE SYSTEM,
REPAIR ANY LEAKS IMMEDIATELY!
DO NOT ADJUST REGULATOR OR PRESSURE SWITCHES WITHOUT FIRST
NOTIFYING MONET DESAUW TECHNICIANS.
