APPLIANCES - INTRODUCTION
This section covers operation and care of various appliances found in the motorhome: a refrigerator,
cooktop range, microwave, Aqua-Hot, roof air conditioner and optional appliances. These appliances
operate on AC or DC current, LP-Gas or a combination of the three.
INFORMATION:
Detailed information with CAUTION or WARNING instructions for the various appli-
ances, other than what is found in this section, can be found in the manufacturer’s
manuals.
WARNING:
Before entering any type of refueling station turn off all LP-Gas operated appliances.
Most LP-Gas appliances used in recreational vehicles are vented to the outside. When
parked close to a gasoline pump it is possible for fuel vapors to enter this type of
appliance and ignite, resulting in an explosion or fire.
WARNING:
Carbon monoxide gas may cause nausea, fainting or death. Operating an LP-Gas
appliance with inadequate ventilation or partial blockage of the flue can result in car-
bon monoxide poisoning. Do not store flammable liquids such as lighter fluid, gasoline
or propane in the outside refrigerator compartment.
NOTE:
Features and options vary with floorplans.
REFRIGERATOR - NORCOLD
The motorhome refrigerant is heated to circulate and vaporize using gravity. To ensure longevity and
proper operation of the refrigerator, follow the specific guidelines in the refrigerator manual. With
proper care and maintenance, the refrigerator should provide years of trouble-free service.
INFORMATION:
Refer to the refrigerator manual for detailed operating and maintenance instructions.
NOTE:
To reduce the possibility of food spoilage, keep the interior box temperature at or
below 54º F. The refrigerator will consume more energy to maintain low temperature,
especially in hot, humid climates. Lower temperature may also lead to quicker frost
build-up.
