Configure Purge Parameters
1. Choose [
Purge],
which offers three options:
• Enter Purge mode
• Cancel the selection and return to Main page
• Enter the Purge settings page
The last option gives access to the Purge settings panel that includes the
Purge parameters.
NOTE
The Purge parameters can be set any time the Purge wizard is on the
screen.
6.8.4 Preset Purge Parameters

Normal Cycles
The number of cycles
that the operator is
told to run using the
normal production
material.
• The maximum value for this setting
is 1000.
Purge Cycles
The number of cycles
that the operator is
told to run using the
purging material.
• This setting is only applicable to the
chemical purging process.
• The maximum value for this setting
is 1000.
Purge Material
The amount of
purging material that
the operator will be
told to add to the
machine.
• This value can be entered in either
kilograms or pounds.
• The unit for weight can be changed
in the menu that comes up after
choosing [
Config
] under the SetUp
tab from the Main screen.
• The maximum value the operator
can enter is 200 kg (440 lbs).
Purge Mode
The operator can
choose either the
Mechanical or the
Chemical purge
sequence.
• This option is not available if you
choose [
Settings
] from the Purge
wizard.
• You may set Purge mode if you
choose [
Settings
] at the pre-run
panel.
