7. Work sequence
7.1 Before operation
Comply with the recommended safety statements (
Chapter
2
). Check the
connection of Stainer to electrical, ventilation, water supply, and drain systems. Make sure
that the Stainer is installed strictly horizontally. Check the arrangement of troughs in the
Stainer and that the troughs are not covered with lids.
The Stainer is supplied with a flow-through trough. Turn on the supply of cold
running water.
7.2 Switching on
Switch on the Stainer with a power switch (6) at the right panel of the control unit.
Check all the points following the message:
BEFORE YOU START THE PROCESS,
CHECK COMPLIANCE OF THE PROGRAM,
CONFIGURATION OF STAINER,
RESOURCE LIMIT OF REAGENTS
If necessary, load a needed technological program

Fill the troughs with
reagents following the chosen program and configuration.
CAUTION!
TROUGHS MUST BE INSTALLED AT ALL STATIONS: BOTH
TECHNOLOGICAL AND PARKING ONES (NO. 3-9), IRRESPECTIVE OF THE CHOSEN
PROGRAM AND CONFIGURATION (
FIG. 4).

TO FILL THE TROUGHS DIRECTLY IN THE WORKING CHAMBER
OF STAINER. If some liquid has been spilled accidentally, remove it with a wet cloth.
Load the racks

Close the lid of the working chamber. Press the button START OF PROCESS to
launch a programmed staining technique.
Processed racks can be unloaded before all the loaded racks have been processed

When processing is complete, unload the racks

Switch off the Stainer.
If a break in operation is not long (several hours), it is acceptable to cover the
troughs with lids and to close the lid of the Stainer.
