Warning and Safety Instructions
General
All repairs should be performed by a trained technician in strict
accordance with national, state and local codes. Any repairs or
maintenance performed by unqualified personnel could be dangerous.
When servicing, modifying, testing or maintaining appliances, all
applicable laws, regulations and accident prevention guidelines must be
observed.
Before any service work is started, the machine must be safely
disconnected from its power source.
Even with the machine switched off, voltage may exist on some
components.
After work has been completed, as a matter of standard practice, a visual
as well as an operational check should be performed.
A touch current measurement has to be performed on all components
that are not connected to ground.
Note
Prior to starting service or repair work, remove all containers and the drip
tray with the spill guard grid from the appliance.
Risk of burning or scalding
Components may be hot. Pressurized steam may be present.
To protect from burns
1. switch the appliance off about1hour before starting service or repair
work, so the flow-thru heaters can cool down, or
2. in the service mode, pump water through the flow-thru heaters for
about1 minute, so they can cool down.
