Further cooling
If extended cooling is activated, the drum temperature is checked approx. 1 minute be-
fore the machine goes into standby mode at the end of the programme. If the temperature
is above 55 °C, the dryer will carry out cooling until it is below 55 °C.
Changing this setting leads to increased energy consumption.

Cooling down temperature
The laundry will be cooled down automatically after the end of the programme. The auto-
matic cooling phase can be set at a cooler level for all programmes. This means that the
cooling phase is extended.
Changing this setting leads to increased energy consumption.
The setting can be changed from 40 °C–55 °C.
Factory default: 55 °C
Fan pulsed operation
The fan operates intermittently to release laundry that is stuck in front of the inner drum
door. With heat-pump dryers, the fan function operates intermittently to dry duvets.
The fan is switched on and off at certain intervals.
Service
Clean out the airways
The tumble dryer’s electronic module calculates the degree to which fluff or detergent
residues in the fluff filters and vent ducting are impairing performance. A message to
check the contamination appears. You can decide at what level of fluff this reminder
should be emitted.
If the message appears on the display even though the fluff filter is clean, the vent ducting
is regarded as borderline. Miele recommends improving the vent ducting. Poor vent duct-
ing will result in longer programme running times and greater energy consumption.
