Chapter 16 Troubleshooting and repair
Chapter 16 Troubleshooting and repair
16.1 General problems
Problem
Cause/solution
Device does not
respond (nothing
appears on the display).
l
Battery pack is completely discharged
Communication
problems (between
myDatalogGauge
3G and PC)
l
Reduce the distance between the myDatalogGauge 3G and USB BLE-
Adapter , and try to avoid obstacles such as walls and similar.
l
Check the value displayed by the DeviceConfig for the wireless signal level
[dBm]. To ensure a stable connection, this value should be higher than -
90dBm , for example -85dBm (see "Establishing a connection to a device
with Bluetooth Low Energy interface" on page 108).
l
The capacity of the battery pack is virtually depleted.
Communication
problems (between
myDatalogGauge
3G and myDatanet
server)
l
Evaluate the error code shown on the display (see "Display" on page 76).
l
Load the device log from the myDatalogGauge 3G or the myDatanet server
and use DeviceConfig for the report (see "Evaluating the device log" on
page 150).
l
The capacity of the battery pack is virtually depleted.
Setup mode cannot be
activated
Not all or no data is
available on the server.
l
The measurement data and configurations have not been synchronised
between the DeviceConfig configuration program and the myDatanet
server.
l
The connection was aborted during the transmission, which is indicated by a
time-out entry in the connection list (see "myDatanet Server Manual "
805002). Solution: Activate setup mode or wait for the next cyclical
transmission.
l
The assignment of the device and site is not correct (see "Site" on page 93
or "Creating the site" on page 131).
Communication
problems (between
myDatalogGauge
3G and BLE Gauge )
l
Reduce the distance between the myDatalogGauge 3G and BLE Gauge ,
and try to avoid obstacles such as walls and similar.
l
The capacity of the battery of the BLE Gauge is virtually depleted. Check on
the display the number of remaining days until the next time the battery
needs to be replaced (see "Display" on page 76).
l
Check that the correct serial number was specified when linking the BLE
Gauge with the myDatalogGauge 3G (see "Measurement channels" on
page 83).
l
When using "Automatic" mode, compare the displayed serial number and
that on the type plate (see "Measurement channels" on page 83).
