Ping IP Address from PC
First of all, make sure the board work in Linux status and type the command of the provided by
the software driver “enable arp” to switch SmartBit test mode to Network command test mode.
After set up the IP address on your PC, you can type network command to ping the IP address of
the evaluation board in Network command test mode. Due to the default value of IP address is
192.168.1.2 in the Evaluation Board. You can use the
PING
command from your PC to test
whether the KSZ884X-PMQL Evaluation board is accessible over the network from physical layer
goes to layer 3. To open the Command Prompt, proceed as follows:
Go to: Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> Command Prompt and click on Command
Prompt.
By typing networking command “ping 192.168.1.2” and press “Enter” on the PC, the KSZ884x-
PMQL evaluation board will get response. Figure 20 shows the information after Ping IP address
successfully.
