Console Port Speed Setting
For serial port data transfer rate in the KS8695P platform, user has to set the speed at 38400 and
flow control to be set to Hardware for normal display in either the Hyper Terminal or other tools.
Please perform the following steps to set up the Hyper Terminal:
On the PC, open the Hyper Terminal as follows:
Go to: Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> Communications -> HyperTerminal and click
on HyperTerminal.
Type in a name at the prompt e.g. “KSZ8842-PMQL” and press OK
Select COM1 port and press OK Fill in the COM1 Properties parameters as shown in
Figure 13 and press OK.
