Set Up IP Address for PC
This section describes how to change IP address on the PC in order to ping the IP address for
the demonstration to send IP packets between the PC and the KSZ884X-PMQL Ethernet device.
Due to the default value of IP address is 192.168.1.2 in the Evaluation Board. For the PC, user
need to set the IP address to 192.168.1.X (X: don’t care) and the Subnet mask to 255.255.255.0
(see the Figure 19).
To change the IP address of the PC, proceed as follows:
Go to: Start -> Settings -> Network and Dial-up Connections -> Local Area Connection.
Right click on Local Area Connection and click on Properties.
Click on “Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)” and then click properties, change the fields so that
they are the same as in Figure 19 and select OK.
Click OK again to get out of Local Area Connection properties and click Close to get out of this
window.
