Risk of acid burns to parts of the body
•
Avoid contact with battery acid
•
Wear protective gloves, safety glasses and acid-resistant clothing.
•
Keep the battery clean
Wash any place that has contacted battery acid with copious clean water
Provide first aid in accordance with guidelines, notify first responders.
NOTE
Fuels suffer ageing during storage. Deposits develop which can damage the engine’s fuel system.
Observe the recommendations for storage/warehousing! Observe the operating manual of the engine
manufacturer!
8.
STORAGE
Storage is defined as the keeping of the power generator in an operational state for up to 2 months.
To do this, the following measures are necessary:
•
Perform all necessary maintenance and cleaning operations as described in the
<Maintenance> chapter.
•
Completely fill the fuel tank.
•
Add a fuel stabiliser to the fuel. Let the engine run for about 10 minutes so that the additive can
act in the carburettor. The fuel stabiliser prevents the formation of deposits in the fuel system
and on important parts of the carburettor.
•
Check the battery and recharge it as necessary.
