11 Modelling Light (ML)
The modelling light (setting light) is a
high frequency, stroboscopic flash
light. The effect of a quasi continuous
light is created for a duration of
approx. 2 seconds. The setting light
can be used to assess the light distri-
bution and shadow formation before
taking a picture.
Activating the modelling light
• Switch-on flash unit with the main
switch
.
• Keep the button “AF/SELECT”
pressed until the following message
appears in the display:
• Press the button
on the flash
unit. In the display appears:
• Switch-on (ON) the “MODELLING
LIGHT” function with the button
• Press
button and the “Modelling
Light” function is switched to the
preset operating mode.

• As a confirmation that the
“Modelling Light” is switched on,
the manual release button
blinks.
Triggering modelling light
Press the manual release button
to
trigger the modelling light.
The modelling light is generated
according to the possibly set ratio of
the reflectors (Ratio).
Deactivating modelling light
• Keep the button “AF/SELECT”
pressed until the following message
appears in the display:
• Press the button
on the flash
unit. In the display appears:
• Switch-off (OFF) the “MODELLING
LIGHT” function with the button
.
• Press the
button and the model-
ling light function is deactivated.
