Water jet operated saliva ejectors must be shut down due to high water consumption.
The fl ushing of the spittoon must be limited by means of a timer or button to max. 30 seconds at a max. water fl ow of 3 l/min to enable the centrifuge to stop.

5.2.4. Filter
If not present in the hose storage, a pre-fi lter with a mesh size of max. 1 mm must be installed on the suction side of the amalgam separator. The pre-fi lter must
be easily accessible for the practice staff.
There must be a coarse sieve in the drain of the spittoon. This must have a mesh size of max. 3 mm and must not be removed while the amalgam separator is in
operation.
