Semi-universal child restraint systems are indi‐
cated by the text "semi-universal" on the
approval label. They can only be used if the vehi‐
cle and the seat are listed in the child restraint
system manufacturer's vehicle model list.
Suitability of seats for attaching belt-
secured child restraint systems
Observe the following information:
R
When using a baby car seat of the cate‐
gory 0/0+ and a rearward-facing child
restraint system on a rear seat: adjust the
driver's and front passenger seat such that
the seat does not touch the child restraint
system.
R
You can have the head restraints of the rear
seats removed and installed by a qualified
specialist workshop. This may be necessary
for the use of certain child restraint systems.
R
For certain child restraint systems in weight
categories II or III, there might be restrictions
in the maximum size setting, e.g. due to pos‐
sible contact with the roof.
R
Make sure that the child's feet do not touch
the front seat. If necessary, move the front
seat forward slightly.
R
The child restraint system must not touch the
roof or be put under strain by the head
restraints. Adjust the head restraints accord‐
ingly.
R
Observe the manufacturer's installation
instructions for the child restraint system.
