cally when the vehicle reaches a speed exceed‐
ing 10 km/h following maximum full-stop brak‐
ing.

Function of the Intelligent Light System
The system is only active when it is dark.
The MULTIBEAM LED headlamps adapt to the
driving and weather situation and provide exten‐
ded functions for improving the illumination of
the road.

Functions of the active headlamps function:

The headlamps follow the steering move‐
ments.

Relevant areas are better illuminated while
driving.

Vehicles with Lane Keeping Assist, Driv‐
ing Assistance Package, Driving Assis‐
tance Plus Package or Traffic Sign Assist:
the active headlamps function evaluates the
course of the lane in which you are driving
and adjusts the light in advance.
The functions are active when the dipped beam
is switched on.
Cornering light
Cornering light improves the illumination of the
carriageway over a wide angle in the direction
you are turning, enabling better visibility in tight
bends, for example. It can only be activated
when the dipped beam is switched on.
The function is active:

At speeds below 40 km/h when the turn sig‐
nal light is switched on or the steering wheel
is turned.
