activating the function

Make sure that there is a valid vehicle key in
the vehicle.

Place the mobile phone in stowage space 1
so that the NFC aerial areas touch each
other.

Depress the brake pedal and start the vehicle
using the start/stop button.

The "Digital Car Key in the smartphone" service
can be deactivated in Mercedes me connect on
the https://www.mercedes.me. The function is
then deactivated in the smartphone via an online
connection. If connection to the Internet is not
possible, e.g. after the mobile phone has been
stolen, the key function can be deactivated at a
Mercedes-Benz Service Centre.
Starting the vehicle in emergency operation
