Changing Wheels
1. Depress parking brake pedal.
2. Move selector lever to position “ P” .
3. Safeguard vehicle against rolling
off by using chocks o r similar.
Place chocks under both opposite
wheels (on downhill side), on a
level road on both sides of the
opposite fro n t wheel when chang
ing a rear wheel.
4. Using the com bination wrench,
loosen but do not yet remove the
wheel bolts.
5. Clean jack supporting tube, if
necessary. Jack tu b e s are behind
the fro n t wheel housings and in
fro n t of the rear wheel housing.
6 . Insert jack arm into the tube hole
up to the stop. Position the jack so
that it will always be vertical as
seen from the side, even on
inclines. Jack up the vehicle until
the wheel is clear o ff the ground.
7. Then back out the wheel bolts.
P rotect bolt threads from d irt and
sand. Remove the wheel.
Note:
It m ust be ensured that light alloy
rims are not dropped on their
outside face since this may dam
age the plastic ce n te r hub cover.
8 . A d ju st the jack to allow the wheel
to be slipped on w ith o u t being
lifted.
9. Slip on wheel and press against
wheel m ounting flange. Turn in
wheel bolts.
