Master Lock System
The m aster lock system locks or
unlocks the drive r’s door, the o ther
vehicle doors, the fuel tank fille r flap
and the trunk lid sim ultaneously. The
lock plungers of the o th e r vehicle
do o rs m ust then move to g e th e r w ith
the lock plunger of the d rive r’s door.
If th is does not happen, the lock of
the respective d o o r is not properly
engaged. Open the d o o r again and
shut it correctly.
The fro n t passenger d o o r and the rear
do o rs can also be locked or unlocked
individually from inside. The fro n t
passenger door can also be locked
and unlocked w ith the key.
W ith the m aster lock system in the
locked position, the tru n k lid can also
be unlocked individually: To do so,
turn the main key to the left as far as it
will go, then depress the tru n k lid lock
push button with the key and open
the trunk. Turn the key to its initial
position and w ithdraw it. To lock the
tru n k lid, close it firm ly; the tru n k lid
will then be locked by the m aster lock
system again.
The tru n k lid can also be locked
independently (for instance, to leave
the vehicle in a w orkshop) w ith o u t
actuating the m aster lock system .
Turn the main key to the right as far as
it will go and w ithdraw it. In th is case
the trunk lid can only be unlocked
w ith the main key w hich m ust be
inserted and turned back to the left.
Note:
If the fuel tank filler flap cannot be
opened, refer to “ U nlocking the Fuel
Filler Flap” (page 75).
Electrical Adjustment of Driver's and
Front Passenger’s Seats
Turn key in steering lock to
position “ 2 ” .
Seat and seat back can be adjusted
individually by means of the switches.
These are accom m odated in the fro n t
doors.
When the key is w ithdrawn o r turned
to steering lock po sitio ns “ 1 ” o r “ 0 ” ,
seat and seat back can be adjusted
only if the driver's d o o r is open.
