9.3 Transducer Removal
We suggest to send the CPC3050 to a Service Center to exchange any CPR3050 transducers
. If
removal is required outside of a Service Center, follow the following instructions for transducer removal or
replacement:
•
VENT THE SYSTEM by placing the controller in vent mode. Then turn off the power.
•
Loosen the five Philips screws on the top cover of the instrument (Figure 9.3-A), and open the top
cover to reveal the insides of the chassis (Figure 3.5).
• Unscrew the two mounting bolts holding in the transducer (Figure 9.3-B) using a 3/16” hex driver. A
special tool may be needed or ordered from Mensor to reach the bolts.
• Pull the transducer module outward, through the top opening. Be cautious not to lose O-rings.
CAUTION: There must be a transducer installed in the “Primary Transducer” slot
for the system to function properly. If the system is operated with the primary slot
empty the system will display an error. NEVER put the blank plate in the Primary
Transducer position.
The O-Rings mount inside the transducer and blank plate. Careful not to lose.

To return the transducer module, or a replacement module to the system, slide it firmly back into position
to engage the pneumatic passages with those in the manifold and tighten the bolts on the transducer
module. Then tighten the five Philips screws to put the top cover back in position.
In replacing the transducer modules the order of position must be maintained according to the pressure
limit of each module, starting with the highest transducer on the left (Primary transducer) and the lower
pressure transducer (Secondary transducer) on the right. If an optional Barometric Reference is present it
is positioned to the left of the Primary transducer.
If a secondary transducer was not originally installed in the controller, a blank plate will be in the second-
ary position. Remove this blank plate, but store it in a safe location. The blank plate must be used any
time there is no secondary tranducer installed.
