Google Play Store
The Google Play Store is a service provided by Google™ that provides games and
applications as well as movies, music, books and other digital content that is tailored
for Android. It contains a wide range of free and paid content.
You will need a free Google account to use the Google Play Store. If you
have not yet set one up, you will be prompted to do so the fi rst time you
start one of the Google applications.
Wi-Fi
You will fi nd the settings for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth when you start the
Settings
app or
on the heading of the respective Quick Settings.
Activating Wi-Fi
− Open the Wi-Fi settings.
− If necessary, tap on the small switch icon at the top right of the screen to activate
Wi-Fi.
The device will now show a list of Wi-Fi access points in your vicinity.
− Tap the name of a known network. If the network is encrypted, you will be
prompted to type the access password.
Pay attention to capitalisation!
If the network you want is not visible, you can add it via the menu on the top right.
To do this, you must know the exact name (SSID) of the network.
If the connection to the network access point is successful, this will be shown by an
icon in the status bar:
Bluetooth
You can establish a direct wireless connection between two devices to exchange data
via Bluetooth. The distance is usually several meters indoors. For instance, you can
connect your Android device to a Bluetooth keyboard or headset.
Activating Bluetooth
− Open the Bluetooth settings.
− If necessary, tap on the small switch icon at the top right of the screen to activate
Bluetooth.
