Connecting to the EXTender 6000 - RVP_Direct
Synchronous-Serial Device
This page provides the necessary information to configure the PBXgateway II for connection to a
single EXTender 6000 using a T1, fractional T1, or frame relay connection. The units are
programmed at the factory with “default” settings providing basic parameters to accommodate
many network environments.
Connections to a second EXTender 6000
The PBXgateway II provides connectivity for up to two EXTender 6000 units via RVP_Direct,
serial connection. Refer to the PBXgateway II System Administrator’s Guide for setup instructions.
Prerequisites for Configuration
The PBXgateway II (at the corporate site) and the EXTender 6000 (at the branch office) must be
installed properly and the network link between both devices must be operational.
