Global/local network pushbuttons
The device has 4 local pushbuttons. Besides the possibility to operate several devices globally
by means of externally connected parallel pushbuttons, a network offers you much more
convenient methods of global pushbutton interconnection. Two different functions exist for this
purpose:
1. Global interconnetion with local function
One device is defined as the ‘pushbutton master’. The entire network can be operated with the
pushbuttons (internal or external) of the master unit. All other devices are ‘pushbutton slaves’.
Interconnection example:
The 4 pushbuttons of the device with the network address 01h are used for the gloabl operation
of the 3 devices connected to the network. The devices with the network addresses 02h and
03h can still be operated locally.

2. Global interconnection without local function
Again, one device is defined as the ‘pushbutton master’, so the network interconnection is as
above. All local pushbuttons can be disabled to avoid accidental usage. To do so, select the
mode "Disable pushbuttons” for all pushbutton slaves when you configure the devices.
