Group Message Output / Standard Control Outputs
The device offers up to 10 programmable relay outputs (the number depends on the type of
device). As bistable relay types (except relay no. 2) are used, the output contacts keep their
last state even in the event of power failure. Each message input can be assigned to one or
more of the possible outputs contacts.
Three group message types are available.
1. Static group message
The contacts close as soon as one or several of the assigned inputs are present; they open
when none of the assigned inputs are present.
2. Static group message with acknowledgement
The contacts close as soon as one or several of the assigned inputs are present, and open
upon acknowledgement of the inputs, irrespective of whether inputs are still present or not.
3. Dynamic group message
The contacts close as soon as one of the assigned inputs is present, they open when another
input assigned to this group message is active (pulse triggering).
Range of application:
Group message channel
Default value:
Group message output on relay 1, relays 3 to 10 (depending on the
device type)
Static group message
Group Message Assignment
Each message input can be assigned to one or more of the possible outputs.
Range of application:
Message channel
Default value:
Not assigned
Acoustic Signal Output
The device has an acoustic indicator which generates an acoustic signal according to the
signalling mode configured. Various functions are implemented which allow the connection of
an external acoustic indicator to the group message/standard control outputs. A maximum of 2
external acoustic indicators can be connected and assigned to one or more of the up to 10
outputs. When you select the relay output, please bear in mind that up to 10 bistable types (the
number depends on device type) are used for relays 1 and 3 whereas relay 2 is a monostable
relay.
