Chapter 4, Using the Command Center
• Files cannot be deleted during a streaming/recording session.
• If a file transfer is in progress, starting a streaming/recording session will
stop the file transfer.
• If the file already exists in the destination folder, it will not be overwritten or
transferred again, even if you select
Transfer all
.
• It is recommended that you use a blank storage device (USB or SD card)
when recording a file to be transferred.
• Files interrupted during a transfer will retain their untransferred status on the
storage device, and then be transferred the next time a manual or automatic
transfer occurs.
• Open Capture XML metadata files are also transferred when using the
File
Transfer
feature; however, the Monarch will only transfer the files found on
the selected media (even if a video referenced in the Open Capture XML file
is located on another USB/SD card). For more information, see

page displays a message if a file did not successfully transfer.
Configuring your Source and Destination
Before you can transfer or delete Monarch files, you must specify the file source
and file destination.

Select
File source
to specify the local storage media where your Monarch
files are located. You can choose
USB 1

USB 2
, or
SD Card

Transfer protocol
. Depending on your selection, the additional
options in the
Source and Destination
section will change.

CIFS/NFS
is for sending files to a network shared folder. If you select this
protocol, proceed to step

FTP
is for sending files to a web-based drop folder. If you select this
protocol, proceed to step

sFTP
is similar to FTP but uses the secure connection protocol SSH
(Secure Shell). If you select this protocol, proceed to step

Monarch does not delete files on a network location.
When specifying the path, all folders in the path must already exist.
