Chapter 2, Matrox Monarch LCS Hardware and Connections
Status LEDs
This section explains the Monarch LCS status LEDs.
LED
State
Condition
Green
Device is powered.
Yellow
Indicates that an error has occurred. This
includes streaming, recording, fan or
temperature-related errors, and/or a physical
disconnection of the network cable. The LED
turns off when the error is cleared in the
Command Center (e.g. streaming error) and
when the error has been resolved (e.g.
temperature-related error). For information on
how to view and clear errors, see
INPUT
SELECT
Green (2)
Two LEDs, indicating which input is in use (A
or B): ON (solid) when HDMI is the selected
input, and flashes when SDI is the selected
input.
ENCD
OFF
The processes are idle.
Blue (solid) The system is ready to record or stream.
Blue (flash)
The LED switches from solid to flashing blue
when you start a process, and will revert to solid
blue when you stop it, regardless of the mode.
Red (solid) Indicates that both processes have failed.
Red (flash)
Indicates that one of the two processes has
stopped while the other is still running.
USB ports1/2
and SD CARD
OFF
Indicates that the port/slot is not selected.
Red (solid)
Indicates that the port/slot has been selected for
recording.
Red (flash)
Monarch LCS is currently writing to the media
device (USB device or SD card). Do not remove
the media device when its LED is
flashing—doing so may result in corrupted
video files.
