4.4 Entering Quality Control Settings
Quality control information can be entered anytime. When calibrating the analyzer with a new button,
the “Quality Control Settings” dialog box opens automatically (Figure 4-7).
If the QC lot has expired, the associated expiration date in the “Quality Control Settings” dialog box will
turn red, flagging you to update the QC information.
NOTE: At any other time, to access the Quality Control Settings, click Tools > Set
the QC Levels from the UA.
► Follow These Steps
1. Using the arrows, select the desired number of QC levels. You have the ability to enter up to
three levels of quality control.

2. Enter the information for the new QC lot in the appropriate box:
a. Control Name: Defaults to “LEVEL 1, LEVEL 2”, etc., for each level. To rename, delete
the default name and enter the new name in the field.
b. Control Lot #: Enter the lot number in the field.
c. Target Range: Enter the target value in the first field and the tolerance in the second
field. For example, a control with a target value of 7.0 + 3.0 is entered as shown in
Figure 4-8.
