Getting Fireworks files into Dreamweaver
You can place Fireworks images and HTML code in Dreamweaver in a number of
different ways. In Dreamweaver, you can use the insert features to place Fireworks
files into documents. From Fireworks, you can export files directly to a
Dreamweaver site folder, or you can copy and paste HTML code into a
Dreamweaver document.
Placing Fireworks images in Dreamweaver
You can place Fireworks-generated GIF, JPEG, or PNG images directly in a
Dreamweaver document.
To insert a Fireworks image into a Dreamweaver document:

Place the insertion point where you want the image to appear in the
Dreamweaver Document window.

Do one of the following:
•
Choose Insert > Image.
•
Click the Insert Image button in the Common category of the Objects panel.

Navigate to the desired Fireworks file, and click Open.
If the Fireworks file is not in the current Dreamweaver site, a message appears,
asking whether you want to copy the file to the root folder.
Inserting Fireworks HTML code into Dreamweaver
Dreamweaver lets you insert Fireworks-generated HTML code, complete with
associated images, slices, and JavaScript, into a document. This insertion feature
makes it easy for you to add tables or image maps created in Fireworks to a
Dreamweaver document.
To insert Fireworks HTML into a Dreamweaver document:

In Dreamweaver, save your document in a defined site.

Place the insertion point in the document where you want the inserted HTML
code to begin.

Do one of the following:
•
Choose Insert > Interactive Images > Fireworks HTML.
•
Click the Insert Fireworks HTML button in the Common category of the
Objects panel.

In the dialog box that appears, click Browse to choose the desired Fireworks
HTML file.
