• Remove any adjusting key or wrench before

turning the power tool on.

A wrench or a key

left attached to a rotating part of the power tool
may result in personal injury.

• Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and

balance at all times.

This enables better control

of the power tool in unexpected situations.

• Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or

jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves
away from moving parts.

Loose clothes, jewel-

lery or long hair can be caught in moving parts.

• If devices are provided for the connection of

dust extraction and collection facilities,
ensure these are connected and properly
used.

Use of these devices can reduce dust-

related hazards.

Power tool use and care

• Do not force the power tool. Use the correct

power tool for your application.

The correct

power tool will do the job better and safer at the
rate for which it was designed.

• Do not use the power tool if the switch does

not turn it on and off.

Any power tool that can-

not be controlled with the switch is dangerous and
must be repaired.

• Disconnect the plug from the power source

and/or the battery pack from the power tool
before making any adjustments, changing
accessories, or storing power tools.

Such pre-

ventive safety measures reduce the risk of start-
ing the power tool accidentally.

• Store idle power tools out of the reach of chil-

dren and do not allow persons unfamiliar with
the power tool or these instructions to operate
the power tool.

Power tools are dangerous in

the hands of untrained users.

• Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment

or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts
and any other condition that may affect the
power tool’s operation. If damaged, have the
power tool repaired before use.

Many acci-

dents are caused by poorly maintained power
tools.

• Keep cutting tools sharp and clean.

Properly

maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges
are less likely to bind and are easier to control.

• Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits

etc. in accordance with these instructions,
taking into account the working conditions
and the work to be performed.

Use of the

power tool for operations different from those
intended could result in a hazardous situation.

Service

• Have your power tool serviced by a qualified

repair person using only identical replace-
ment parts.

This will ensure that the safety of the

power tool is maintained.

Safety information for drywall sanders

• This machine is intended for sanding.

Read

all safety information, instructions, illustrations
and descriptions enclosed with this machine.
Non-observance of the following instructions can
cause an electric shock, fire, and/or severe inju-
ries.

• Work such as roughing, brushing, polishing

or cut-off grinding may not be performed
using this machine.

Work for which the machine

is not designed can cause hazards and injury to
persons.

• Do not use any accessories not especially

developed and intended for this machine.

The fact that an accessory may be able to be
attached to your machine does not guarantee
safe operation.

• The permissible rotational speed of the acces-

sory must be as high as the maximum rota-
tional speed specified on the machine.

Acces-

sories that rotate faster than is permissible, may
shatter.

• The external diameter and thickness of the

accessory must correspond to the stated
range of your machine.

Accessories with incor-

rect dimensions cannot be sufficiently protected
or handled.

• The bore diameter of discs, flanges, support-

ing discs and all other accessories must
exactly fit the spindle of the machine.

Acces-

sories with non-matching bore diameters do not
run smoothly, vibrate excessively and may cause
a loss of control.

• Do not use damaged accessories.

Before

each use, check the accessories such as the
sanding wheel for breakage or cracks and exces-
sive wear.

• Always check the machine and the accesso-

ries for damage or mount undamaged acces-
sories. After inspection and attachment of
accessories, stand outside the rotation range
of the application tool with any other persons
in the vicinity and allow the machine to run at
maximum speed for one minute.

Damaged

accessories normally break during this test
period.

• Wear personal protective equipment. Use a

protection shield or goggles, depending on
the application. If appropriate, wear a respira-
tor mask, hearing protection, safety gloves
and a work apron suitable as impact protec-
tion against small sanding or workpiece
parts.

The goggles must be suitable for stopping

flying debris, caused by various work. The respi-
rator mask or respiratory equipment must be suit-
able for filtering the particles generated by your
work. Permanent high noise exposure can cause
deafness.

• Keep persons in the close vicinity at a safe

distance away from the operating area. All
persons within the operating area must wear
personal protective equipment.

Parts of the

workpiece or of broken accessories can be flung
away and cause injury outside the immediate
vicinity of the workplace.

• Keep the product only on the insulated grip-

ping areas, when operated, during which the
application tool can hit concealed electricity
cables or the mains cable of the product.

Contact with a live cable also energises the metal
parts of the product and lead to an electric shock.
