4.2.8 ASCII Communication Frame Structure
This chapter describes the Sending/Receiving Frame structure which is consisted of ASCII
communication mode.
The basic communication mode of LGRF-H Reader is HEX mode and additionally, provides
ASCII communication mode. This means that the Sending/Receiving Frame is consisted of
basic HEX communication mode structure with the item added for ASCII communication.
(Note. In order to communicate by ASCII communication mode, Reaser should be preset as ASCII
communication mode.)
ASCII mode communication shall be set by changing the value of Frame marked as HEX
value in basic Sending/Receiving Frame of HEX mode communication with ASCII value and the
Sending/Receiving Frame shall be composed by adding 05 (ENQ) indicating the header of
ASCII Frame and 0D(CR) and 0A(LF) indicating the tail of ASCII Frame.
[Table 4.2.8.1] below shows the Sending Frame structure among ASCII communication
modes. And [Table 4.2.8.2] shows the description of each item consisting of the Sending Frame.
(Reference. [Table 4.2.8.1] and [Table 4.2.8.4] describe the examle of Sending/Receiving
Frame of Read Multi Block.)
