2.3 Effective Distance for Reading
[Fig. 2.3.1] Effective distance of antenna for tag reading
[Fig. 2.3.1] shows the operation area of antenna and tag under basic operation environment.
But as the operation area of Reader depends on operation environment, antenna size, tag
type and size and the position, it is most important for the installer to select the optimal
installation environment considering such conditions.

Read Range described in [Table 2.3.1] is the distance measured under general office
environment by using a card-type Tag of I-CODE2 Type (47x80mm) and the effective Read
Range depends on the operation environment and tag type and its size. Especially. as the
recognition distance can be reduced under the environment having a obstacle for
electromagnetic waves, cares should be taken.
(Note. Read range of Reader is subject to operation environment of Reader, Tag type and size.)
