8 Troubleshooting
Type of malfunction
Possible causes
Correction
UV lamp does not start.
– No power supply.
– Power switch is not pushed.
– Power fuses are defective.
– Power cord is defective.
– UV bulb’s lifetime has expired.
– The UV lamp was overheated and
switched off.
– Temperature switch defect.
– Lamp housing connector cable is
not locked accurately.

Check power supply.
•
Push power-on button.
•
Check fuses.
•
Replace power cord.
•
Replace UV bulb.
•
Reset internal temperature switch.
Procedure see “UV lamp switches
off”.
•
Loctite Service.
•
Check lamp housing cable, if
defective Loctite Service.
UV lamp switches off
– UV lamp overheated and switches
off.
– Fan defective.
Procedure:
•
Disconnect power cord.
•
Open lamp housing.
Pay attention to the earth cable!
•
Reset temperature safety switch,
see Section 6.1.
•
Close lamp housing.
•
Connect power cord.
•
Wait 5 minutes before starting the
lamp.
•
Check function of the fan. Be sure to
ensure there is a free air flow.
•
Check function of the bulb.
•
Loctite Service.
Product does not cure as
required
– UV bulb’s lifetime has expired.
– Filter glass is contaminated.
•
Replace UV bulb.
•
Clean or change filter glass.
