5 Adjustments for Curing
5.2 Adjustments for Optimum Curing
The amount of UV energy delivered to the part is controlled by the distance between the
bond area and the lamphouse and the time of exposure. The time required for curing can
be minimized by setting the bottom edge of the lamphouse 3 to 6 cm above the bond
area. Increasing the distance will result in increased cure times. The area of the part to
be cured should be centered underneath the lamphouse / lamp assembly.
As guidance the information in the datasheet can be used.
For adjustments of optimal curing use the following steps.

Look at the datasheet where you find the exposure time of the adhesive used and the
necessary intensity.

Adjust the distance to the area of
highest intensity with the height
adjustment and locking lever

Start exposure according to the
datasheet.
If the result is not satisfying try new
exposures with different heights and
times.
