Access Provisions.
(See Figure 1-7 through Figure 1-13.) Required access doors and panels are provided through-
out the airplane for easy access to critical areas,
¿
ller caps, drain valves, test connections, etc. These doors and panels are
secured with various types of fasteners which range from screws to spring-loaded hinges, depending upon the location and
use of the door or panel. The doors and panels are stenciled with a number which corresponds to a similar number on the
adjacent structure. These numbers also correspond to the identi
¿
cation numbers shown in Figure 1-7 through Figure 1-13.
1.1.11
Opening LH and RH APU and ATM Compartment Access Panels.
(See Figure 1-14.)
a. Gain access to left or right Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) and Air Turbine Motor (ATM) compartment access panel (1).
b. Release Dzus fasteners securing APU and ATM compartment access panel.
c. Open compartment access panel enough to secure forward and aft support arms (2, 3) by attaching support arms with
a single Dzus fastener to forward and aft compartment vertical frames.
1.1.12
Closing LH and RH APU and ATM Compartment Access Panels.
(See Figure 1-14.)
a. While holding compartment access panel (1), release single Dzus fastener attaching forward and aft support arms (2,
3) to compartment vertical frames.
b. Close compartment access panel (1) and secure all Dzus fasteners.
