h. Ensure all MFDU are on and show default displays (Figure 1-27) within approximately 4 minutes. (Defaults only
apply when airplane has weight on wheels.)

j. Ensure the following bus lights on the AC ELECTRICAL SYSTEM control panel are off. (Refer to Figure 1-23.)

If VIA 1 is not available on any MCDU MENU page, open ground switches on pilot emergency circuit breaker
panel, navigator circuit breaker panel No. 1, and navigator circuit breaker panel No. 2. Wait 1 minute, then
return to Step e.

If VIA 2 is not available on any MCDU MENU page within 2 minutes of display of VIA 1, open ground
switches for AVIONICS DC BUS 2A on navigator circuit breaker panel No. 2. Wait 1 minute, then close
ground switches for AVIONICS DC BUS 2A on navigator circuit breaker panel No. 2. Allow 4 minutes for
VIA 2 to restart. Ensure both VIA 1 and VIA 2 have booted before proceeding to Step k.
k. If Embedded Diagnostic System (EDS) is not available, perform Step l through Step o. If EDS is available, proceed to
Step q.
l. Select MX page on any MFDU.
m. Wait a minimum of 1 minute, then toggle right to CLR

ENTER.
n. Identify faults in any system 82 (core) or other desired system.
o. Using the ENG/CWA display format on any available MFDU, ensure that none of the following CWA are active:
