7.3. Cleaning/changing the air filter CC201P/PV/PL
The air filter filters the ambient air and prevents foreign matter from penetrating into the combustion
chamber. Over time, this foreign matter accumulates on the air filter and reduces the flow through of air.
The air filter should be checked regularly and replaced in a timely fashion to prevent motor damage.
Operating the motor without an air filter is not permissible.
Sequence CC201P/PV/PL 1. Unscrew wing nut and pull off lid.
2. Unscrew wing nut.
3. Remove and wash out the foam cladding.
4. Beat out or replace the air filter element.
5. Visual check of the seal.
6. Reassemble in the opposite order.
Sequence CC201PV 1. Unscrew wing nut C and pull off cover A.
2. Tap out or replace the air filter element.
3. Visual inspection of the seal.
4. Assemble in reverse order.
