Drive belts
WARNING
Cutting and crushing injuries at open belt drive
Danger of drawing-in of hands and clothing when the belt cover is open.
Never operate the machine without the belt covering in place.
Work may only be carried out when the drive motor is switched off.
Effects of
incorrectly tensioned
drive belts:
Drive belts too loose:
Drive belts slip on the V-belt pulley
no or poor power transmission, excessive wear
Drive belt too tight:
Excessive wear, excessive heating of the V-belt pulleys with consequential damage
Checking
Check the tension of the drive belts but pushing on them.
•
Remove the drive belts cover (#1).
•
Control by pressure test with a finger.
