IDLE ROLL ASSEMBLY
REPLACEMENT
1. R e p lace i f it is degraded f rom use; f or
exam p le, it is becoming galled with alu-
minum de p osits.
2. R emove drive roll. ( See M aintenance
Section )
3 . R emove both idle roll assembl y retaining
screws and washers. ( See f igure D.7 )

4. Using N eedle nose p liers, slowl y p ull the
idle roll assembl y out o f the wire drive b y
e q uall y working both sides o f the tabbed
idle roll s p ring.
5. Insert the new idle roll assembl y into the
wire drive with the correct orientation,
( See f igures D.8 and D.9 ) .
Correct orientation. N ote that lower s p ring is
not visible in bore o f idle roll bearing at
arrow.

6. Using N eedle nose p liers, p ush the new
idle roll assembl y into the wire drive until
it is f ull y seated.
7. R einstall the retaining screws and wash-
ers. Do not use the screws to draw the
idle roll into
p lace. R einstall the drive roll
and wire into the wire drive.
GUN TUBE ASSEMBLY
REPLACEMENT
1. R e p lace i f it is degraded f rom use; f or
exam p le, its insulating tube is breaking
down.
2. R emove liner assembl y . ( See
M aintenance Section )
3 . R emove le f t side o f handle. Loosen gun
tube nut with wrench. N ut has right-hand
threads. Use ad j ustable p liers on gun tube
mounting p late to p revent cable assembl y
f rom rotating in gun handle. ( See f igure
D.10 )
